Girl's Day Out

On Friday I came home for the weekend with my roommate Alyssa to meet up with my future bridesmaids for a sleepover, because the next day we were all going to Tacoma to find a hopeful dress for them for the wedding.  After a fun night, that involved going to Starbucks to see Stacy, playing "Guestures" and "Apples To Apples" and watching some "Jon and Kate Plus 8", we finally all crashed about 3am.

The next morning we all got ready to head to David's Bridal to try on the dress that I had found online that I loved. When we got there all the girls tried on that dress, along with some other ones that they individually wanted to try on for themselves. By the end of the time there I had decided that I loved the original dress that I had in mind, but because I had set up another appointment that day at "Demetrios Bridal" store I decided we better go to there just to see what they had.... and it was completely worth it!

When we got there our assistant showed us the selections of bridesmaid dresses that we could choose from, and since I didn't have any idea as to what they had at this store I had the girls walk around and show me dresses that they loved and decided whether it's what I was picturing for the wedding. After MANY dresses were picked, the girls tried them on and had a mini "fashion show" of them to see what they all looked like on. There were so many beautiful ones, but there was one that really stood out to me and we ordered it!

The dress will be a light pink/peach color and it goes down to about the girls' knee, is a flowing type of fabric that has a tie around the waist and the straps cross in the back. The only thing I wasn't a big fan on was the flower that was attached to the front of the dress at the waist because it was a little distracting, but I realized that it came off, so I unhooked it from the front and put it in their hair and realized that it really completed the dress by having it as an added accessory verses being apart of the dress itself.

After trying on the dresses half of us (Stacy, Alyssa and Melanie), along with my mom, Kyle's mom (who was there with us), Ryan and Evan all went to Seattle for the night to have dinner and meet up with Kyle, who came from Bellingham to see everyone.

All in all it was one of the best days I have had in a long time, and can't wait for more days like that!

My First Post

I have been keeping up on my parents who have their own "blog spot's" and always love reading what they have been up to when I haven't had time to talk to them, so I thought I would create my own account and try to keep up on it.

I really hope to get into this because whenever I've tried something like this in the past I usually loose interest, but I have always wanted a blog, so my goal is to add a new post every couple days! Fingers crossed I keep up with it!!
